What to Include in Your Message
A few details make it much easier for us to help, particularly if something isn't working as expected:
- Which calculator you were using — the page name or the link is ideal.
- The numbers you entered, including the units you had selected.
- What you expected and what the tool actually returned. If you believe a result is wrong, telling us the figure you were expecting and how you arrived at it lets us find the discrepancy quickly.
- Your device and browser, if something looked broken or didn't display properly.
What We Can Help With
- Reporting an error. If a calculator returns an incorrect result, we want to know. Corrections take priority over everything else, and we apply any fix to the underlying method across every page that uses it.
- Requesting a calculator. Tell us the calculation you keep doing by hand. A good number of the tools on this site started as a reader's suggestion.
- Improving an explanation. If the guidance on a page is unclear, ambiguous, or leaves out something important, say so — that's as much a defect as a wrong number.
- Accessibility problems. If any part of the site is difficult to use with a screen reader, keyboard navigation, or at a larger text size, please tell us what you encountered.

What We Can't Help With
We're not able to give medical, financial, legal or professional advice, or to interpret your personal results for you. Our calculators provide general estimates using published formulas, and questions about your own health, money or building project need someone qualified who knows your full circumstances. We also can't recommend specific products, treatments or providers.
If you're writing about a calculation that affects a real decision, the most useful thing we can usually do is explain the method the tool uses so you can take that to a professional.
